Privacy Policy
Effective July 14, 2026. Last updated July 14, 2026.
This policy explains what personal information the Mercury app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Mercury iOS app and the accounts used to sign in. The service is operated by Mercury Society LLC ("Mercury", "we", "us").
Mercury is a private travel concierge. The app is for existing Mercury clients: it shows you the travel arrangements your concierge team makes on your behalf.
Information we collect
- Your phone number, which we use to sign you in. We text a one time code to the number Mercury has on file, and there is no password.
- Your name and travel details: the trips Mercury arranges for you, including flights and private aviation, hotels and villas, cars and transfers, restaurants, activities, dates, locations, confirmation numbers, and the members of your traveling party. These are held in Mercury's client records and shown to you in the app.
What we do not collect: we do not collect passwords, payment card numbers in the app, your device's location, advertising identifiers, contacts, or browsing and usage analytics. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
How we use your information
- To sign you in and keep your session secure.
- To show you your own itineraries and keep them current.
- To operate, maintain, and protect the service, for example preventing abuse of the sign in flow.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
How your information is handled
- Text messages are sent through our messaging provider (Twilio) solely to deliver your sign in code. Standard carrier rates may apply.
- Hosting and infrastructure. The app's data is processed on cloud services we use to run the app. These providers act on our instructions under confidentiality obligations.
- Your concierge team uses your information to arrange your travel. Sharing details with travel suppliers to fulfill your trips happens as part of that concierge relationship, largely outside the app.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as you are a Mercury client and as needed to provide and account for the arrangements we make, then delete or anonymize it, except where we are required to retain certain records to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from within the app: open the home screen, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. This signs you out, removes your ability to sign back in, and starts the removal of your personal data from our systems. Some records may be retained where the law requires, then deleted. To make a related request, contact us at privacy@mercurytheclub.com.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@mercurytheclub.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Security
Access to the app requires a one time code sent to your phone, so there is no password to be guessed or leaked. Data is encrypted in transit, and access to client information is limited to those who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
Children
The app is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International processing
Mercury operates from the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and where appropriate, notify you.
